Job Description
In this role we deliver & administrate company-wide BI and IT platform (environments) for high-synergy IT & business areas. Support the OpCos in all our markets in the specification and implementation of their data-driven initiatives. In addition we are defining the group-wide data strategy and support in trainings and change management.
We as an organization have an ultimate goal to modernize & harmonize data & IT going forward into one cloud setup, and want to boosts our company’s Analysis capabilities further which perfectly fits with A1 goal to be a data driven company. Currently we’re looking for a Cloud Data Engineer who will work on Platform tasks along with Data Engineering tasks, that also includes involvement in the overall Governance of data platform & DWH solutions in A1 Group. This is a Group role position, location based in Serbia.
If you find it interesting to:
- Work on building the full stack of our Azure data use cases, ranging from data ingestion to data analytics
- Work with different units and operating companies on implementing their data driven projects and products
- Make sure that each project is implemented with a high level of security and that these projects adhere to governance standards
- Designing and implementing predefined cloud architecture with focus on cloud engineering
If you have:
- 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering role
- Practical experience around ETL&ELT: data extraction, load & integration, data transformation and aggregation
- Familiarity with cloud-based platforms, such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP, and hands-on experience with related services such as Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, or GCP Dataflow
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, or Azure DevOps, and familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Proficiency in Python and Spark (experience with other data engineering frameworks such as Databricks, Kafka, Flink, etc., is considered a bonus)
- Solid understanding of data governance concepts, data quality, and data security practices
What you will be working on:
- Building and operating big data use cases on Microsoft Azure in highly complex environment of a big corporation with complex systems, bringing significant change in digital transformation
- Working on and building solutions for 7 telco providers (member of A1 Group) in CEE Europe
- Implementing lean and scalable data pipelines for use cases with One2Many approach
- Implementation of data ingestion/message processing architecture (Event hub, ETL pipelines) including CICD
- Integrating implemented pipelines (real time and batch) to other systems (e.g. marketing automation and campaigning via Salesforce Marketing Cloud)
- Design and implement data pipelines by configuration, and implementation via Azure Data Factory, Kubernetes Services, Synapse, Azure Databricks, Function Apps etc.
