We are seeking an experienced (2-3 years) Public Cloud FinOps Analyst who is driven to build and maintain a customer-obsessed Cloud Solution Partner (CSP) program. The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert on cloud billing & licensing models and capable of resolving complex customer requests or complaints. They will be expected to apply best practice processes/procedures associated with the finances of the Public Cloud, including tools, reporting and escalations to ensure delighted clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed financial analysis and forecasting for cloud spending across multiple platforms (i.e., AWS, Azure, Google).
- Leverage cloud-native and third-party management tools to identify and act upon optimization opportunities.
- Research cloud service configuration, billing, usage and purchase options to reduce options for clients to maintain or improve performance while reducing cost.
- Supervise and analyze cloud usage and spending patterns to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare and present reports, recommendations and progress made on optimization initiatives and cost saving opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and up to date cost and usage reports.
- Contribute to the continuous process improvement initiatives as needed to ensure our offerings remain compelling and innovative.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Deep understanding of cloud financial management and principles, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Previous experience optimizing workflows and implementing process improvement.
- Ability to prioritize and manage competing demands.
- Ability to follow processes as written and possess the flexibility to perform and document tasks where no process exists.
- Either possess or be willing to achieve FinOps, AWS and Azure certifications.
- Either possess two years’ prior experience with public cloud billing and licensing models or be willing to learn.
- Either possess prior experience working in the AWS Management Console and Azure Portal or similar Cloud Portals & Consoles or be willing to train.
