The mission
Hyperoptic is more than just an internet service provider; it also installs its own fibre infrastructure into multi-occupancy buildings, bringing the UK’s fastest internet speeds to users. Your mission will be to design, build, maintain and analyse GIS system providing a valuable asset to aid the company’s rapid growth.
Reporting Line
Reporting to the GIS Manager.
Responsibilities and duties will include:
- Designing and maintaining the Postgre database
- Technical authority for Postgre Database
- Working closely with business stakeholders to perform complex spatial analyses to help drive smart business decisions
- Working as a bridge between the GIS Team and the Software Development Team to aid integration of Spatial Analysis in our company BOSS
- Working as a bridge between the GIS Team and the BI Team in order to integrate Spatial Data with Company’s Data Warehouse
- Designing and creating GIS Solution for Business Analysis purposes, 3rd party Systems, Systems Integration
- Designing and creating Company Processes using Business Logic and Spatial Analysis
- Leading Projects using Spatial Analysis and Business Logic
- Training, mentoring and monitoring the professional development of Junior DB Analysts
Candidate profile:
(Essential and desirable)
- Advanced SQL, Query Performance
- Extensive database development experience: architecture, DB procedure scripting, Triggers, Indexing…
- Experience working with stakeholders to gather requirements
- Excellent written & spoken English language skills
- Understanding of GIS concepts and experience of working in GIS would be an advantage
- Experience in cable/fibre deployment concepts would be an advantage

The role will be based in Belgrade. The successful candidate will be offered a monthly salary and participation in a company incentive scheme.
