We at Holycode are currently looking for a Data Engineer with strong skills and proven experience who is ready to dive into the C Wire team in our Belgrade office.
C Wire redefines advertising on high-quality publisher platforms through a set of privacy-aware and non-tracking products specialized around the needs of journalists and publishers.
You will be joining their Data team responsible for building a scalable system that supports millions of unique viewers every day worldwide. C Wire builds performant ad servers, state-of-the-art data pipelines, and real-time stream processors backed up by Apache Pulsar, and aggregates terabytes of data in ClickHouse.
Responsibilities:
- Development and maintenance of ad server infrastructure
- Writing microservices that process large amounts of data
- Ensuring the correctness and accessibility of the collected data
- Working closely with front-end and product teams in Zurich and Belgrade to develop industry-leading products
Ideally, you have:
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science or a related field
- Passion for collaboration and strong interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with at least one statically typed language (C++, Go, Java...)
- Proficiency with at least one scripting language (Bash, Python...)
- Experience crafting and implementing high-performant microservices. Experience with a distributed log (e.g. Kafka) is a plus.
- Strong grasp of database structure, design, query languages (e.g. SQL), large data sets, distributed systems, and fundamentals of mathematics and statistical concepts.
- Knowledge of Linux, Docker, and container orchestration frameworks like Kubernetes is a plus
