Data Engineer

We currently have a vacancy for a Data Engineer to work at the premises of the company in Belgrade and/or remotely.

Main responsibilities and Tasks

• Participate in the design and implementation of databases, ETLs, BI reports
• Migration of database/ETL changes across environments
• Develop/maintain data models in accordance to end users’ information needs and views
• Monitor server performance of application databases
• Maintain access rights
• Write technical documentation
• Install and configure the respective tools
• Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely manner
• Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data
• Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
• Strong knowledge of database theory and experience in data modelling
• Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) and "NoSQL" databases (time series databases, Cassandra, MongoDB)
• Excellent command of English
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and to deliver high quality results within tight deadlines
• Strong desire to learn

Nice to have skills

• Competence in Python or Java, PL/SQL or T-SQL
• Experience with some of the database migration tools (Flyway, Liquibase)
• Experience with Linux or Windows operating systems
