We are based in Zurich, Switzerland, and Belgrade, Serbia, and are looking to expand our team.
Cloud IB is looking for an Data Scientist to join our team based in Belgrade. The role involves developing applications to collect, process and analyze company information and M&A transaction data. Your day-to-day work will include close collaboration with our senior management / founder who has extensive experience at tier 1 investment banks in the U.S. and Europe. The role provides an environment to fast forward a career in finance and an opportunity to develop as the company expands.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Automate collection of quantitative and qualitative financial data related to companies and M&A transactions from public sources and third-party data providers
- Analyze, interpret and adjust the collected data to enable transparent standardization of the data across companies and transactions
- Build and run internal quality control checks to assure accuracy and integrity of data
- Closely collaborate with senior management / founders to identify and rank relevant data sources and develop automation processes
REQUIREMENTS
- Academic degree in a quantitative field
- Experience with Python, incl. knowledge of major Python libraries and frameworks such as pandas, SQLAlchemy
- Initial experience with version control systems such as Github or similar
- Interest in and/or experience with AI / ML / NLP is a plus
- Ability to learn new concepts quickly, high self-motivation, excellent communication skills
