At Trace Labs, decentralized knowledge graph (DKG) engineers are generally skilled in knowledge graphs, data integration, pipelines, graph stores, and overall data processing. On a usual day, the DKG engineer would be building the OriginTrail infrastructure on the basis of blockchain, knowledge graph technologies, and distributed networks based on open standards.

Having the skills outlined below will enable you to quickly get involved with OriginTrail & other Web3 technologies.

Requirements:

  • Experience with semantic technologies and linked data (JSON-LD, RDF, SPARQL, OWL, XML)
  • Strong relational database experience
  • Experience with graph and tree algorithms
  • Strong software development experience
  • High English language proficiency
  • Strong computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems

Nice to have:

  • Experience with blockchain, smart contracts, verifiable credentials, and decentralized identifiers
  • Experience with distributed systems
  • Experience with novel web services (GraphQL, Protocol Buffers)
  • Openrefine experience
  • Experience with the ELK stack and data flow management (Apache Spark, Kafka, NiFi, or similar)
  • Big data pipeline experience
  • Meta learning experience
  • Experience with the implementation and working with GS1 and W3C standards

Your responsibilities would include:

  • Delivering high quality, impactful solutions for clients and the OriginTrail ecosystem
  • Collaborating within and across various implementation teams
  • Managing individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
  • Learning and researching Web3 technologies on an ongoing basis
  • Engaging in planning, development, and documentation activities in the context of an international scrum team
