The Microsoft Applied Sciences Group Serbia incubates disruptive technologies for Microsoft’s next-gen hardware products and is working on several exciting projects that will shape how computers and other devices perceive the user and the user’s environment. Team works closely with several research and product teams to bring compelling new experiences to the market. A lot of these experiences will rely on cutting edge hardware – and as part of this team, you will have the unique opportunity to work with a wide range of high-end consumer devices.
We are looking for a engineer to manage the growing pool of test devices and collaborate closely with the wider team on regular release testing and comprehensive root cause analysis on different architectures, and to ensure device health of the CI agent pool. We expect you to be a hands-on technology enthusiast who can work independently and pro-actively address issues before they become problems.
Responsibilities:
- Setting up new laptop devices (UEFI/OS/driver installation)
- Maintaining pool of devices used for development
- Maintaining an inventory list of devices
Requirements:
- Experience with managing Windows systems, flashing BIOS, using bootloaders, etc.
- Self-driven problem solver working onsite at Microsoft Belgrade offices
- Fluent in English
- Preferred - Experience with Git, continuous integration and scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell)
