Experienced Software Architect - Python

A successful candidate must have demonstrable experience in Python or Go technologies, previous work in SaaS operations, platform development and prior leadership experience.

Required qualifications

• Experience in developing architectural strategies, standards and roadmaps for the future state (2-5 years)
• 5+ years of professional experience preferably functioning as a Software Architect
• Working knowledge and experience with Agile values and principles
• Proven experience across multiple business areas and multiple technologies with a well-rounded background in applications, software, databases, middleware, etc.
• Proven experience in large, complex scale projects
• Deep knowledge and experience with microservice architecture and microservice patterns
• Solid presentation skills, ability to effectively influence
• Ability to multi-task and switch between tasks quickly and smoothly
• A strong desire to learn and expand their technical knowledge
• Able to work autonomously and exhibit excellent judgment
• Excellent interpersonal skills and organization skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, fluency in English
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or IT (preferable)

Key responsibilities

• Developing robust, scalable, secure enterprise and cloud environments, infrastructure and platforms using appropriate, state of the art technologies
• Creating prototypes as proof of concepts for complex scenarios
• Documenting the architectural design
• Strong collaboration with clients, project managers, and other engineers
• Researching new technologies and recommending changes to the existing infrastructure and products
• Independently leading or executing complex design assignments and deliverables
• Continuously introducing improvements in system visibility and applications with advanced monitoring, metrics and log analytics
• Identifying root causes on critical problems throughout the platform, incident reports and the organization of the engineering team members in steps to resolve issues
• Architect and support the building, deployment, and management of product release workflow and live deployments, through a continuous delivery system
• Participation in project meetings with other technical staff and business owners and subject matter experts
• Guiding other engineers on technical issues, especially those that impact releases, deployment, and delivery.
