Experienced Software Engineer

A software engineer based anywhere in Europe is sought by DigitalMR to work on the development of Django based web applications for digital market research. Work will include designing apps, developing them together with related tests, and deploying them alongside our current web platform. This is a full time placement with a competitive salary and significant opportunities for growth and advancement.

The DigitalMR mission is to develop and market digital platforms that help companies make better, affordable products and services that in their turn help improve peoples’ quality of life. DigitalMR is an early stage high tech company in the space of A.I. for market research and customer insights. Following 4 years of focussed R&D in A.I. - financed by multiple government grants and self generated cash - we have developed a lot of unique I.P. some of which is patent pending. The main areas of our research are: text analytics - NLP, sentiment & semantic analysis, emotion detection and scoring, automated image theme and sentiment analysis. We work with blue-chip multinationals such as P&G, SABMiller, DIAGEO, Vodafone, Saxo Bank, YPO, Nielsen, TNS, and many more. We are already disrupting a 65 Billion US$ industry.

Requirements:

• Python language and Django framework knowledge
• Having a great fit with the DigitalMR company values
• One or two years work experience. Remote work experience will be an advantage
• Basic knowledge of SQL and ORM patterns
• Good HTML/XHTML/CSS/Javascript skills
• Working knowledge of the Git version control system and its preferred development workflows
• Good organisational skills both in management of time and software code
• Knowledge of server administration and Amazon Web Services will be considered an advantage

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Working closely with a dynamic team of software engineers to realise web based platforms
• Developing web applications / platforms for market research
• ­Developing backend services and APIs for Big Data harvesting and reporting
