Work Environment

This role will start fully remote but will transition to in-office work in Belgrade as we establish our office. Eventually, we'll offer hybrid flexibility (1-2 days remote per week). We value in-person collaboration for building a tight-knit, high-performing team. You'll work closely with teammates and customers primarily in the US and Europe, so expect regular collaboration across time zones.

Role Overview

You'll take our prototype web application and transform it into a polished, production-ready user interface that Fortune 500 companies depend on daily. This means building React components that scale, writing clean frontend code that lasts, and making critical UI/UX decisions that will shape our product for years to come. As we grow to 20+ engineers, you'll naturally step into leadership, mentoring new hires and setting the technical standard for backend engineering.

What you'll build: The frontend of a collaborative web platform that revolutionizes how manufacturers handle product data from initial design through production to final quality control. You'll work primarily in React + TypeScript, creating stunning Three.js 3D visualizations and intuitive user interfaces. You'll integrate with our Go backend via REST and gRPC APIs, ensuring seamless data flow and exceptional user experiences. This isn't just another CRUD app. You're building the future of digital manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities:

Shape product architecture: Drive technical decisions and system design discussions that define our platform
Build and ship features: Take ownership of front-end features from concept to production
Evolve the codebase: Refactor, optimize, and improve existing systems for scale and maintainability
Ensure quality: Write comprehensive tests and maintain high code standards
Elevate the team: Participate in code reviews and help establish engineering best practices
Drive visibility: Communicate progress and technical decisions to stakeholders
Collaborate across functions: Work closely with product and design to deliver exceptional user experiences
Work globally: Partner with team members and customers across US and European time zones

Requirements

3+ years professional software development experience
Fluent English (spoken and written)
Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, design patterns
Frontend: React (or equivalent), TypeScript/JavaScript, modern data fetching and state (React Query, Zustand or Redux where useful)
Experience with integration with REST and gRPC
DevOps basics: Git, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, front end testing (e.g., Jest, Playwright, Cypress)
Passion for learning and building systems from scratch

Nice-to-Have: Bonus points if you have experience with any of these technologies we use daily:
