Role summary

SANNE is looking for a candidate to fill a permanent role as Junior Developer. As a member of the global DevOps team, the candidate´s primary focus will be to analyse, design, develop, test and deploy bespoke in-house applications, updates and enhancements to existing apps, integrations with 3rd party systems (e.g. payments, account validation, regulatory) as well as reporting and scripts developed and maintained by DevOps Team in support of the business.

Key responsibilities

Working as part of a project team delivering through agile methodology
Analysis in collaboration with customers, partners, and peers to identify product requirements
Design applications based on system requirements and architecture
Prototype, develop, test and deploy applications
Create system design and application documentation
QA, Responsible for Technical documentation provisioning and Unit Testing
Analysis, design and implementation of integration solutions with 3rd party systems (APIs, database links, file exchange etc.)
Database design and programming (SQL and NoSQL Document oriented databases)
Work closely with the team and relevant technical experts/architects to ensure the solution meets architectural, security and coding standards
Collaborate effectively to support and enhance the full project lifecycle
Communication to internal parties and external vendors on a continuous basis
Implement and provide support for reports and scripts developed and maintained by DevOps Team
Data imports & migrations
Report writing
Provide training assistance

Skills / experience required

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving and team skills
Ability to plan, schedule and organize in a systematic and orderly manner
Relevant Computer Science / IT / Engineering degree or related tertiary qualification
Relevant MCSA, MCSD or Agile certifications valued
Technical toolset - Required:
- SQL Databases (MS SQL Server, Firebird)
- MS Excel skills (Formulas, Macros, Pivot tables etc.)
- Report writing
- Website technologies (HTML, CSS, Javascript)
- ASP .NET Core
- C#
Technical toolset - Valued:
- Angular 7/8
- Microservices architecture
- Modern API design and implementation
- NoSQL Document oriented DBs (RavenDB)
- Continuous deployment
- Automated testing tools
- Dockers, and Kubernetes
- Understanding of cognitive computing, artificial intelligence, optical character recognition, machine learning solutions
- Other programming languages (VBA, Python, Java)
- Exposure to Agile methodology for project delivery
- Ideally experience in working with a team who are DevOps oriented
