Full Stack Engineer

Rush Street Interactive (NYSE: RSI) is a market leader in online casino and sports betting, currently operating real-money gaming with our brands: BetRivers.com, PlaySugarHouse.com, and RushBet.co. We’re building bridges between online, social, and land-based gaming businesses to create exceptional, integrated experiences that keep players in the game.
We’re looking for a skilled Full-stack engineer to join our team and take ownership of critical player-facing experiences that ensure security, compliance, and seamless access. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our authentication and player communication flows, managing login, session control, regulatory messages, and secure identity handling. You’ll collaborate closely with front-end engineers, designers, and product owners to deliver high-quality, user-friendly solutions that keep our players safe, informed, and connected. 

What You'll Do:

• Take part in architectural discussions of platform services and ensure technical alignment across the team. 
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges, proactively address technical debt, and implement sustainable, long-term solutions. 
• Develop metrics for observability to ensure service quality. 
• Ensure code quality through rigorous testing and reviews while improving system scalability and performance. 
• Research and propose new tools and technologies to improve system performance, reliability, and engineering processes. 
• Partner with Tech Leads, Product Owners, and QA teams to align technical solutions with business goals and compliance requirements. 

What You'll Bring:

• 3+ years of experience in development. 
• Experience building production systems using Java and frameworks like Dropwizard or Spring, with a solid grasp of REST, messaging systems, and relational databases. 
• Proven experience with Vanilla JavaScript and the JavaScript ecosystem. 
• Experience with React and TypeScript.
• Willingness to take ownership of services, drive technical initiatives, and deliver high-quality outcomes. 
• Provide technical guidance and foster a collaborative engineering culture.
