General Electric eTerra Consultant - ADMS/OMS SME

Purpose:

The eTerra Consultant provides deep expertise in the legacy eTerra Energy Management System (EMS/ADMS) platform, ensuring that critical knowledge of current operations, configurations, and integrations is leveraged during the transition to new systems and throughout cutover planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary knowledge source for all eTerra (v3.14) configurations, data structures, and operational processes.
• Support requirements definition by mapping eTerra functionality and workflows to target-state ADMS (GE Vernova v16.16.2 or equivalent).
• Provide detailed knowledge of eTerra integrations with SCADA, OMS, DMS, Archival, PI historian, and other upstream/downstream systems (IVR, AMI, etc).
• Partner with business and technical leads to validate data migration, conversion, and cutover strategies.
• Participate in working sessions, ensuring that legacy capabilities are accounted for or properly retired.
• Validation of test scenarios that rely on eTerra as the source system (e.g., data extracts, interoperability, fallback procedures).
• Support cutover planning by advising on system freeze timing, access removal, and contingency/fallback steps.
• Provide knowledge transfer and mentoring to project team members unfamiliar with eTerra.
• Act as escalation point for troubleshooting during transition phases, including parallel runs and hypercare.
