Head of Data

VRChat offers a first-of-its-kind, game-changing platform that provides an endless collection of social VR experiences and gives the power of creation to its robust community. With over 250,000 worlds and growing, VRChat’s vision is to allow users to bring their imaginations to life and help shape the metaverse anywhere in the world on any device. VRChat has raised $100M to date with the support of investors Makers Fund, Anthos Capital and HTC and is building out a strong team to achieve hyper-growth in the coming years.

The Head of Data is a highly strategic leadership role at VRChat. This person will manage a team of Data Scientists and Data Engineers and work directly to build and maintain data pipelines form third party sources, own and develop the data modeling that produces single sources of truth for business metrics, and empower business users of data to make better business decisions with high quality dashboards and reporting.

 

The main stakeholders this person will interact with are:

 

1. Executives who need data to inform strategy or report to the board/investors

2. Product development teams, who will use data to inform team strategy, prioritize work, and measure impact.

3. Marketing teams, who will use the data to develop campaigns, understand our target markets, and assess revenue performance.

 

This role reports into CPO/EVP at VRChat, and will work closely with a dedicated cross functional team, heads of various functions, with periodical interaction with the exec team and the VRChat Board as well.
