About the role:
In this role, you will support the Information Security Team in carrying out technical assessments and remediation activities across the Group’s networks, systems, and software applications to ensure the Group maintains a stable, robust, secure, and reliable IT environment underpinning core business processes.
As we continue to roll out cloud technologies across the Group, there is a strong focus for this role on Microsoft’s suite of cloud applications; solid technical experience is therefore essential for dealing with all challenges.
What we want from you is to:
- Manage and maintain all aspects of on prem and cloud infrastructure.
- Provide 'hands-on' technical support and escalation (through the incident, change & problem management procedures) and ensure that SLAs are achieved, whilst also looking for ways to improve the day-to-day IT delivery.
- Administrate infrastructure activities for Active-Directory, AAD, Office 365, and Exchange.
- Support 1st and 2nd line service desk colleagues with escalated tickets as necessary.
- Build and maintain the library of Infrastructure SoPs, documenting fault solutions, common tasks, and maintenance procedures in such a way that any member of the team can complete the required actions.
- Work with the Cyber and Information Security Team, to ensure all infrastructure is secure and protected against cyber-related threats.
- Help to implement cloud security models including best practices for securing applications including hybrid deployments containing cloud and on-premise components.
We invite you to the next level if you have:
Technical skills:
- You have a minimum of 3 years in a technical role, with ideally at least 1-year of experience in supporting cloud-hosted solutions (Azure or AWS).
- Fluent English.
- Experience in migrating workloads from traditional data centers to cloud providers.
- Windows Server 2012 through to 2022.
- UNIX, LINUX experience.
- MS Office 365, Active Directory, SQL, Exchange,
- Virtualization, VMware, or Hyper-V.
- Storage Infrastructure.
- Configuring and maintaining monitoring tools and systems.
Understand:
- Application security and encryption technologies - Secure network architectures.
- Public Cloud compute, storage, database, virtualization services (basic).
- Programming with scripting languages like PowerShell (basic).
- Security concepts in the enterprise - Firewall and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
Interpersonal skills:
- Good communication skills, both verbally, and in writing, able to share ideas easily.
- A professional attitude and an ability to think outside of the box to solve complex challenges.
- The ability to work with project teams and other infrastructure teams to deliver quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently.
- Methodical and analytical approach to solving problems,
- Efficient, able to perform tasks in the fastest and simplest way.
