Job Description:
As an IT Service Desk Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our internal staff members and some of our customers. You will play a key role in maintaining the efficiency of our IT systems, resolving technical issues, and ensuring seamless operation across various departments.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to IT support requests via phone, email, or ticketing system in a timely and professional manner.
- Troubleshoot system operations (software), analyze other issues (e.g. hardware and network) and provide effective solutions.
- Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
- Work with the databases directly on as-needed basis (not as DBA)
- Collaborate with other IT team members (Level 2. and Level 3.) to escalate complex issues and coordinate resolutions.
- Document and update IT procedures, technical manuals, and knowledge base articles.
- Assist in conducting regular system audits and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Building support environment with the Microsoft 365 options (e.g. forms, flow, powershell…).
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry best practices via certified courses
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in a similar IT support role.
- Proficiency in general operating systems use (e.g. Windows and Mac).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 environment, especially at the tenant level and/or tools level (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive..)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
