Position Summary

We are looking for an IT and Product Operations Lead to join our Team. As a key member of the team you are responsible for collaborating with software developers, system operators and other IT staff members to manage the IT Infrastructure operations and support, code releases, while also bridging the gaps that may exist between software development, testing, and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee progress in achieving Infrastructure operational/production goals and objectives, especially with respect to quality, cost and customer service
• Take the responsibility for uptime, data accuracy, and integrity
• Ensure operations are in full compliance with all company and regulatory requirements
• Provide key leadership and management for the IT Infrastructure members reporting to you
• Manage the Product Operations and IT Service Desk support queues
• Be a technical escalation point
• Recommend new technologies that will improve efficiency and effectiveness
• Participate in managing cloud infrastructure, system administration and work with teams to identify and repair issues on an as-needed basis
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure new customer environments meet requirements and conform to best practices
• Prioritize requests from operations, development and product teams fairly while demonstrating a sense of empathy

Skills and Experience Required

• Experience leading and managing DevOps Engineers and IT Systems Administrators
• Experience managing a support queue
• Experience with systems and IT operations
• Excellent problem solving, analytical skills, and technical troubleshooting skills
• Broad technical background
• Experience with automation/configuration management
• Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services (experience with Microsoft Azure or other is an asset)
• Strong experience with SQL
• A working understanding of code and script
• Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
• Excels at collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines
• A strong focus on business outcomes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related
• Five years of related work experience, including experience with at least two of the following: web app development, .Net development, Microsoft Azure Cloud, Microsoft SQL Server
