We are currently looking for a Information Security Engineer to join the Cloud Service team in our Belgrade or Novi Sad office.

Role summary

You will be part of the global IT and cybersecurity team. This role will monitor and improve Information Security posture, while assisting with high level technical support for Daon’s staff. Daon staff are located both locally and in remote locations – up to 250 users. This role also involves shared responsibility for IS support in other locations as required including Australia, Ireland, Serbia and US. Responsibilities to include securing and enhancing our M365 platform and integrations, Splunk and Intrusion Prevention. Daon is ISO 27001:2022 certified and maintains a comprehensive Information Security Management System (ISMS). Onsite work required with flexibility to work from home. The Hybrid position reports to the IT & Security Manager who is based in our Fairfax, VA, USA location and requires 2-3 days in the office.

Your contribution

Develops, customizes and continually improves Daon Splunk deployment;
System monitoring and reporting on consistent basis for anomalies and vulnerabilities.
Provide actionable recommendations and prioritization to improve corporate network security;
Assist in the configuration and enhancement of Azure security, logging and alerting;
Provide support and engineering for firewalls, IDS / IPS. Monitor and tune policies and alerts;
Perform regular remediation on vulnerability scans and show improvements on week to week historical basis. Use of automation solutions preferred;
Work with Daon IT and Compliance teams to conduct periodic security reviews on existing security technologies to offer actionable recommendations for improvements and remediations in accordance to agreed upon review schedules;
Work with Daon staff to understand their needs and design appropriate security solutions which minimize business impacts while providing solutions that adhere to security standards / best practices;
Maintain cooperative relationship with infrastructure, development and IT/Helpdesk teams to drive remediation;
Assist in identification, response and reporting to any security incidents that may occur;
Attending and contributing to weekly, and adhoc meetings for general IT discussions that impact Daon security and troubleshooting specific issues collaboratively;
Ensure systems are operated in compliance with existing security policies;
Participate in Configuration Control Board reviews;
Review and recommend security technologies to protect company assets;
Responding to Customer and Internal project security requirements as requested;
Ensuring staff are aware of relevant threats;
Perform other duties and/or projects as assigned;

You have the most of

Hands on Splunk experience integrating new sources, apps, filtering data, optimizing alerts, dashboards, reporting, and building out new search capabilities;
Minimum of 5 year’s experience, with at least 2 years’ experience managing Splunk deployments.
Extensive experience in securing and supporting M365 (AAD, Defender, Exchange, OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint);
Knowledge of cybersecurity technology and trends;
Offensive security techniques;
Experience working with software developers to understand security requirements;
Solid experience using scripting languages to automate tasks;
Familiarity with automated alerting and reporting;
Security certifications (such as CISSP, Splunk) highly desirable;
BA in a relevant Information Technology program or equivalent experience;
Demonstrated desire to continually improving technical skills and security knowledge;
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team;
Proven decision-making experience, ability to work without daily supervision and be autonomous;
Ability to learn the business and participate in discussions to coordinate integration and migration planning while minimizing impact;
Good English verbal and written communication skills;
Ability of fast learning and have self-motivation to solve problems;
Ability to meet deadlines and support competing priorities;
Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality;
