Intermediate/Senior DevOps Engineer

ClassRT - Canadian-based startup looking for an enthusiastic, creative DevOps engineer/developer who has experience with AWS cloud. The successful candidate will operate in a multi-faceted role that will serve as an opportunity for skill development, creative problem solving, and a chance to work with a cutting edge techstack. Responsibilities:

• Streamline development release processes with some of the most cutting-edge technologies, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Helm charts, Teraform
• Manage ClassRT cloud services
• Implement monitoring by using Graphana and Prometheus
• Implement alerting
• Implement draining of logs into the ELK stack
• Improving and managing ClassRT infrastructure security 
• Consult with developers on newer architecture and help scale/troubleshoot existing architecture
• Implement disaster recovery procedures
• Stay current with the new technologies evaluating and implementing solutions that align with ClassRT and DevOps needs 

Skills and Expertise Required:

• Experience building and operating Kubernetes clusters in production
• Experience with AWS service especially load balancers, ECR, EKS, EC2, CodeBuild, CodePipeline etc.
• Extensive Docker experience
• Extensive experience in building process automation, build and deployment pipelines
• Thorough understanding of software development processes (Git, Branching, testing, CICD)
• Knowledge of corporate security obligations including PCI compliance is a plus
• Ability to self-start and deep dive into upcoming technologies
• Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting experience
• Willing to participate in an 24/7 on-call rotation and experience with incident management and post-mortem follow ups
• Interpersonal skills working on various levels of management and colleagues
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral (in English)
• University Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent knowledge/experience
