MySQL SQL j2ee Spring Java Maven Hibernate XML JSON RDBMS Batch RESTful intermediate

We are looking for a Backend Java Developer to work on an existing development team utilizing modern technologies including: SpringBoot, Hibernate, MySql, and GCP (Google Cloud Platform). The ideal candidate should have fundamental understanding of building RESTful services and best practices around developing back end software systems communicating with relational database systems like MySQL. The ideal candidate has experience working with cloud environments like GCP, but it is not required. This is a full-time, work from home position, working for a US Based client of Cyrillic Software. We are looking for self-motivated and hardworking individuals who want to grow their career utilizing modern technologies and best practices.

The Backend Java Developer Position will have the following responsibilities:

Work with an existing Agile team in all aspects of the SDLC
Create, document, and understand software/system requirements utilizing Agile best practices
Work with peers, testers, and operations to test and validate working software
Design and implement secure and scalable software solutions
Participate in requirements discovery and analysis

The ideal candidate should have most of the following skills:

SpringBoot, Hibernate, RESTful Services
Core Java, J2EE, Logging, Maven, Eclipse, XML, and JSON
RDBMS/SQL Experience, Data Modeling, MySQL
Understanding and experience with Data Processing, Batch Processing, and Messaging technologies
Excellent Verbal and written English Communication Skills

The following experience is also desired, but not required:

Experience with developing and testing on AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure environments
Understanding of BDD and TDD Concepts
Understanding of CI/CD and Automation best practices
Experience and understanding of Selenium testing
Web Development experience and understanding including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Experience with front-end frameworks like React, AngularJS, Angular, or Vue
