JavaScript Developer

to extend the Livingdocs team with InterVenture in Belgrade. Livingdocs is a techdriven company with a small team of creative minds based in Zurich.
Join the Livingdocs team and help us to develop a key part of our product: our webbased editor. It enables editorial staff at media houses to create unique content in a powerful way.
Your excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with people you’re not necessarily sitting next to every day, enables you to contribute to our product. You thrive working autonomously and in an environment of asynchronous conversation.
You have an appreciation for usercentric designs, that you can transform into working prototypes quickly. Incorporating feedback and iterating frequently lets you arrive at mature solutions that steadily move our product forward.
Your Responsibilities:
- Write modular, reusable code – ensuring quality and industry best practices
- Review frontend application code and give valuable feedback to your peers
- Produce wireframes, storyboards and other material to help communicate research and prove the case for new concepts and ideas
- Implement designs for our core product as well as customer implementations
- Continually improve the quality of Livingdocs by sharing your ideas and beliefs
Your Profile:
- 3+ years experience working on the frontend of a web application
- Fluency in HTML5, CSS3, Javascript
- Ability to work with Git and the command line
- Familiarity with Photoshop or Sketch
- Experience with frontend testing
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
Bonus Skills and Experience:
- Experience with Angular
- Express, websockets, SQL
- Fan of the BEM notation
- Knowledge of webpack
- CoffeeScript and ES6
- Experience with Sketch
- Willingness to travel to Zurich on occasion
- German language skills
