Junior Backend Software Engineer

We’re looking for Junior Backend Software Engineer who’s eager to learn, build, and grow within a collaborative and high-performing product development team. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a modern, cloud-native microservice platform while developing strong foundations in software craftsmanship and agile delivery practices. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team and report to an Engineering Manager.

What You’ll Do:

• Contribute to the development of software solutions in collaboration with senior engineers and teammates
• Write clean, readable, and testable code using object-oriented design under guidance and code reviews
• Participate in team ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and contribute to discussions
• Learn about our platform, development practices, and tools as part of a structured onboarding experience
• Support troubleshooting and bug fixing in both development and production environments
• Grow your understanding of software design, version control, automated testing, and cloud-native systems

What You’ll Need:

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Familiarity with at least one programming language such as Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar
• Understanding of design, coding, object-oriented concepts and basic software development principles, including version control (e.g., Git), testing, and debugging
• Some exposure (via coursework, projects, or internships) to web development or backend services is a plus
• Willingness to learn technologies we use, such as Spring Boot, Vue.js, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
