Job title: Junior IIOT Application Engineer (m/w/d)

Location: Čačak, Serbia

Job Description:

IIOT platform:

• Support all plants of the PWO Group in implementing IIOT systems and integrating them with equipment and technology in the production lines
• Maintain systems and data acquisition to ensure data acquisition at the highest quality
• Define new integrations and connections for the IIOT platform with teams based on business requirements.

Application development:

• Build applications in the IIOT platform in the fields of reporting and dashboards, live process data monitoring, live data visualization, and alerting. Manage the projects from ideation to full-scale implementation.
• Align with experts and key users from production, quality, and maintenance to identify requirements for applications in the IIOT platform. Translate business requirements into executable work items within the IIOT platform.
• Analyze requirements regarding feasibility and needed preparations, create mockups, concepts, and PoC applications. Identify the best solution to fulfill requirements within the IIOT platform.
• Build a framework and structure to strengthen the self-service approach, enabling key users to develop applications by themselves while following defined processes and governance models.

Training coordination:

• Support key users globally as expert users for the IIOT tools
• Develop and maintain a train-the-trainer structure with the goal of constantly improving the key users as well as the users within the plants
• Maintain a framework to communicate and share developments and highlight success stories across all plants

Other Responsibilities:

• Support first- and second-level support within the OT and IIOT team
• Multi-plant project coordination within the cross-functional teams running the IIOT platform
• Basic OT network management; the OT network is the backbone of IIOT and all its applications

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, mechanical engineering or similar domains
• Strong background in data analytics, especially with time series data
• Strong background with SQL databases, especially MS SQL
• Strong background with analytical tools, especially Power BI
• Good knowledge of Python for data science projects; experience in image processing is a plus.
• Interest in machine and production technology as well as related controllers, PLCs, and interfaces
• Familiarity with IT tools and a willingness to learn Lean principles.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work well in a team.
• Good command of English, both spoken and written.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and contribute to service-oriented goals.
