Junior IT Security Systems Engineer

About the Role

Manta System d.o.o., based in Belgrade, is a Value Added Distributor (VAD) for cybersecurity solutions, active across the Southeast Europe (SEE) region. Our clients are primarily from the public sector, government institutions, banks, and telecom operators. We work in partnership with a portfolio of leading global cybersecurity vendors.

In this role, you will support the company's internal IT infrastructure and take part in client and partner projects in a supporting role. Training on our vendor products and solutions is provided on the job, no prior product-specific experience is required.

What You'll Do

• Set up and maintain the company's computer network
• Administer and maintain company servers and workstations, including administering the main hypervisors, production servers and lab environment
• Administer the Microsoft 365 environment
• Monitor antivirus solutions and support general IT security oversight within the company
• Take part in pre-sales and post-sales activities in a supporting role, working alongside more experienced engineers: technical presentations, product demonstrations, lab testing, defining technical requirements in RFPs, participating in PoCs
• Providing support to our existing partner and client network

Who You Are

• Solid knowledge of computer networks and network protocols
• Experience troubleshooting issues at the network and system level
• Experience in systems administration (Windows and/or Linux environments)
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox)
• Higher education: vocational college or academic university degree (technical field) or equivalent work experience
• English language proficiency

Nice-to-Have

• Background or interest in cybersecurity domains such as vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, or security monitoring
• Experience with monitoring or log management tools
• Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
• Relevant certifications
