Manual QA Engineer

Apoddo is a software development-as-a-service company. We specialize in providing software development services to small and medium-sized businesses in the United States and Europe. Currently, we employ 50+ full-time engineers and another 20+ hourly engaged experts. We're looking for a Manual QA Engineer to join the growing team of our client, an American airline. You’ll work on testing new features, identifying bugs, and maintaining a high level of product quality before every release.

Key Responsibilities

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Identify, record, and track bugs through the full lifecycle
• Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issues
• Verify fixes and perform re-testing
• Participate in sprint planning, QA reviews, and release processes
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and documentation

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software testing (manual QA)
• Experience with test case management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr, or similar)
• Familiarity with bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar)
• Understanding of SDLC, agile methodologies, and QA best practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and clear communication skills
• Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
• Excellent knowledge of English (both written and spoken)
