Mid-Level IT Security Systems Engineer

About the Role

Manta System d.o.o., based in Belgrade, is a Value Added Distributor (VAD) for cybersecurity solutions, active across the Southeast Europe (SEE) region. Our clients are primarily from the public sector, government institutions, banks, and telecom operators. We work in partnership with a portfolio of leading global cybersecurity vendors.

In this role, you will combine internal IT systems administration with technical pre-sales and post-sales engineering: delivering demos, leading proof-of-concept projects, and managing installations at client sites. As a cybersecurity distributor, we value engineers who bring a genuine security mindset to this work, not just product implementation skills.

What You'll Do

• Lead technical presentations and product demonstrations for partners and clients
• Test products and build use cases in our internal lab
• Lead PoC (Proof of Concept) projects with partners and enterprise clients
• Manage installations of solutions at client sites, including network integration and configuration
• Onboard partners and clients, training them on how to use our products and provide best practice advice
• Provide ongoing technical support to partners and clients
• Administer, maintain and as needed troubleshoot the company's internal computer network and servers, as well as employee workstations
• Monitor antivirus solutions, oversee security monitoring/log management tools, and support general IT security oversight within the company

Who You Are

• At least 5 years of experience implementing IT security solutions
• Experience with hardware network appliances and a solid understanding of network infrastructure (network segmentation, DMZ, types of network communication)
• Experience with application protection and database protection solutions, e.g. F5, Cloudflare, IBM Guardium, Imperva, or similar
• Experience with or knowledge of MFA (multi-factor authentication) solutions
• A genuine interest in cybersecurity, e.g. vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, or security monitoring, beyond product implementation alone
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms (primarily VMware, Proxmox and Hyper-V)
• Willingness to travel occasionally to partners and clients across the SEE region
• English language proficiency

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with SIEM or log management/monitoring solutions (e.g. Zabbix, Nagios, Syslog)
• Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
• Experience working with databases (MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle)
• Relevant certifications
