The QA Automation Test Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and execution of automated testing of Portals products. The QA Automation Test Engineer will work closely with the QA and Development team members to develop test strategies, plans, and schedules while adhering to defined quality metrics and requirements. This position requires an individual who is passionate about automation and developing elegant software solutions. This role will report to our: Senior QA Manager
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Create automated test strategies, plans, and tests and incorporate them into the existing framework
- Execute automated tests
- Maintain and refactor existing automated tests as needed
- Record and report test results based on established KPIs
- Collaborate with multiple teams to gather requirements
- Log and track defects using the designated tracking system
Desired Skills and Experience
- Experience with Automated Testing troubleshooting and identifying key issues
- Experience with cypress Automated Test Framework
- Experience with Gherkin BDD Test Frameworks (e.g. Cucumber, Karate) is a plus
- Experience with REST API Test Tools (e.g. REST-assured, Postman, etc) is a plus
- Knowledge of CI/CD methodologies (e.g. Jenkins)
- Experience with containerization platforms such as Docker/Kubernetes is a plus
- Experience with other automated test frameworks is a plus
- A solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP1.x/2, TLS, etc) is a plus
- Experience with QA for distributed systems such as CDN/DNS is a plus
- Experience with QA for WAF is a plus
- Experience with GraphQL is a plus
- Experience working with Jira is a plus
- Comprehensive understanding of test methodologies and techniques
- Bachelor’s in computer science (or comparable industry experience)
