Quality Assurance Engineer (Manual QA – Banking Domain)

About the Role

We are looking for a Manual Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team and help deliver high-quality software solutions for the banking industry.

In this role, you will be responsible for validating business processes, executing manual testing activities, and ensuring that delivered solutions meet functional, business and client requirements. You will work closely with clients, business analysts, product owners and development teams throughout the entire software development lifecycle.

This is a client-facing position requiring excellent communication skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to understand complex banking processes while building strong relationships with customers and project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and functional requirements and provide timely feedback.
• Design, prepare and execute manual test plans, test cases and test scenarios.
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression, smoke, exploratory and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Validate end-to-end business processes and ensure compliance with business requirements.
• Identify, document, prioritize and track software defects through resolution.
• Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing before releases.
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, product owners and clients to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Participate in client meetings, workshops, solution demonstrations and UAT sessions.
• Support release validation, production deployments and post-deployment verification activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, testing standards and documentation.
• Prepare testing reports and provide quality recommendations for software releases.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Manual Software Testing or Quality Assurance.
• Strong knowledge of manual software testing methodologies, techniques and best practices.
• Experience creating test plans, test cases, test scenarios and defect reports.
• Experience performing functional, integration, regression, system and exploratory testing.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Experience using defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, TestRail or similar.
• Experience working on banking software projects.
• Good understanding of banking business processes, with hands-on experience in Retail Lending (consumer loans, cash loans, mortgage loans, credit cards, overdrafts, loan origination and credit approval processes) or Trade Finance (Bank Guarantees, Letters of Credit, Documentary Collections and related corporate banking workflows).
• Ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
• Experience working directly with clients, business analysts and business stakeholders, including participation in requirements workshops, solution validation and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional proficiency in English.

• Experience testing REST APIs using Postman or similar tools.
• Basic SQL knowledge for database validation.
• Experience testing microservice-based applications.
• Familiarity with BPM/workflow-based enterprise systems.
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
• Experience working in financial services or digital banking transformation projects.
