Senior Backend Developer (PHP / Symfony) – Get Local team

Holycode and Get Local team are seeking a hands-on Senior Backend Developer. As our ideal team member, you should be motivated to work independently within a small team of enthusiasts, building and shaping up a startup into a leading and international company in the premium travel industry.

Challenging things you’ll work on:

• Work in a distributed Scrum team
• Take responsibilities from software design to implementation
• Challenge software architectures and decisions
• Build API integrations
• Manage deployments and all things AWS
• Show ownership in an agile environment

Your contribution to the team includes:

• 4+ years of experience with modern PHP7
• Strong experience on RESTful- and SOAP-based APIs
• Experience with Symfony 3/4 and Twig
• Experience with Nginx
• Basic experience with Unix server administration (Ubuntu)
• Solid understanding of software architecture and system design
• Good communication skills (in English)
• Comfortable working in an agile environment
• Sense for software quality

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with AWS
• Scrum certification
• Not afraid of the frontend
• Good Understanding on how the Internet works (TCP, TLS, HTTP/2.0, Websockets,QUIC)
