Senior Cloud Engineer, AWS Migration

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to serve as a core technical expert in our migration teams. You will design and implement solutions to move workloads from on-premise VMware to AWS, serving as a mentor to junior engineers and a troubleshooter for complex issues.

This role covers two potential areas of utilization:

1. Mass Migration: Designing automated solutions for high-volume delivery, optimizing pipelines, and ensuring speed and consistency.
2. Complex Modernization: Executing bespoke migration patterns (replatform/refactor) for critical applications, requiring deep-dive troubleshooting across OS, DB, and network layers.

Location & Contract Type

Location: Remote position open to candidates in the Europe.

Contract Type: This position is open for candidates interested in Business-to-Business (B2B) contract position in countries in Europe. Please note this is a contract role for approximately 3 years.

What Will You Do? 

• Design and implement migration solutions, ranging from automated lift-and-shift (MGN/CloudEndure) to complex replatforming.
• Build and maintain robust Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and automation scripts (Python, Bash).
• Perform deep technical troubleshooting across OS (Windows/Linux), network, storage, and application layers.
• Design solutions that integrate cleanly with platform-provided networking, security, and observability services.
• Mentor other engineers, defining technical standards and ensuring high-quality delivery.

What You Bring 

• 5+ years in cloud engineering (AWS) with 3+ years specifically in migration projects.
• Expertise in AWS migration tools and related networking/storage concepts.
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash/PowerShell) and IaC proficiency (Terraform).
• Deep administration knowledge of Linux (RHEL/Oracle) and Windows Server, including legacy versions on VMware.
• AWS Solutions Architect Associate (or higher) certification.
