The company specializes in risk insurance, group insurance, and health insurance, as well as in preventing or ending long-term sick leave through targeted measures. The customer base consists of companies and organizations that take out insurance for their employees and members through insurance brokers and partners.

The IT hub in Serbia consists of 35 employees and is responsible for requirements gathering, development, and maintenance of the back-office system, mobile apps, front-office apps, customer portals, data warehouse, QA and QA automation, as well as the CI/CD processes that support high-quality deliveries.

We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join their team and take ownership of deployment architecture. In this role, you will bridge the gap between development and operations, ensuring their release processes are streamlined, automated, and error-free. You will be responsible for managing both on-premise and cloud environments, driving the adoption of CI/CD best practices, and ensuring the stability of their IT deployment lifecycles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • CI/CD Management: Design, build, and maintain robust Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using YAML configurations.
  • Release Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of software releases. Manage deployment processes related to Product Backlog Items (PBIs), Bugs, Tasks, and Features, ensuring smooth transitions from development to production.
  • Hybrid Environment Management: Manage and maintain Azure DevOps Server (On-Premise) instances while driving operations within the Azure Cloud environment.
  • Infrastructure & Automation: Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to automate the provisioning and configuration of environments.
  • System Integration: Create and maintain complex integrations between Azure DevOps and other third-party systems or internal tools.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development teams and project managers to streamline the flow of value (Agile/Scrum), troubleshooting build failures and deployment blockers immediately, improve deployment processes and reduce release cycles.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in a DevOps or Release Engineering role.
  • Azure Stack: Deep understanding of Azure DevOps (both on-premise Server and Cloud Services) and the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
  • Build & Deployment: Expert-level knowledge of build/release pipelines and deployment strategies.
  • Scripting & Config: Proficiency in YAML for pipeline definitions and scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
  • Process Knowledge: Strong understanding of IT software development processes (SDLC), including the management of work items (Epics, Features, PBIs, Bugs).
  • Problem Solving: Proven ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment issues in a high-pressure environment.
  • Experience with version control system (e.g. Git) and agile development methodologies.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Containerization: Experience with Docker is desirable.
  • Migration Experience: Experience migrating workloads from on-premise to the cloud.
  • Monitoring: Experience setting up monitoring and logging tools (Azure Monitor, Application Insights, etc.).
