As a Senior EDI Specialist, you will lead implementation projects and ensure the continuous development of our EDI landscape. You will work directly with international customers, suppliers, and internal departments to strengthen our digital supply chain and build long-term integration standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. EDI project management and integration

• Lead EDI projects with customers, suppliers, and logistics partners
• Design and implement new interfaces and message structures (VDA, EDIFACT, ANSI X.12)
• Coordinate system rollouts and data migrations
• Collaborate with procurement, logistics, sales, and IT departments
• Document integration architecture and process standards

2. Technical support and EDI system development

• Maintain and monitor EDI platforms and middleware
• Analyze data flow, manage message mapping, and resolve interface issues
• Configure EDI logic together with internal IT teams and external providers
• Support users with training, guidance, and best practices
• Identify and implement process improvements

3. International collaboration and travel

• Support implementation activities at production sites abroad
• Work with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and service partners across time zones
• Participate in customer workshops and technical alignments
• Travel internationally when project needs require on-site presence

Your Profile

• Degree in Business Informatics or a comparable field
• Minimum of three years of experience in EDI within the automotive industry
• Familiarity with message standards (VDA, EDIFACT, ANSI X.12) and EDI platforms such as Seeburger BIS, Lobster, or INFOR
• Strong skills in mapping tools, converter configuration, and communication protocols such as OFTP2, AS2, or SFTP
• Experience in project coordination and working across functions
• Analytical, structured, and results-oriented approach
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English and German
• Willing to travel internationally and support global rollouts
