Senior Full Stack Developer

Summary

We are looking for a proactive individual to fill in the following position: Senior Full Stack Developer. The ideal candidate should have experience with Node.js and Java for the backend as well as Angular for the frontend and will be working on developing and maintaining our new web shop application. Additionally, experience with building and maintaining Java µservices is a plus.

Your Responsibilities

• You will support the design and development of high-quality backend applications following best practices to ensure high availability, scalability, and resilience.
• You will develop and maintain high-quality and well-documented RESTful APIs using Node.js/Nest.js.
• You will write both unit and integration tests and develop automation tools for daily tasks.
• You will work closely with frontend developers to design and develop functional, performant APIs.
• You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize product features.
• You will troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure high uptime and good performance.
• You will challenge ideas and opinions to avoid pitfalls and inefficient complex solutions.
• You will create and maintain technical documentation for all code changes and updates.
• You will stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies and suggest new approaches to improve efficiency and productivity.
• You will lead, support, and coach more junior developers in the team.
• You will take the lead in code reviews to maintain code quality and identify opportunities for improvement.

Your Profile

• You have bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• You have 4+ years of experience in front-end web development using Angular, with solid knowledge of HTML and CSS.
• You have 4–7 years of professional experience in backend development using Node.js / Next.js (experience with Java is a plus).
• You have experience building performant RESTful APIs in JavaScript and/or TypeScript (GraphQL experience is a plus).
• You have 2 to 3+ years of experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, Couchbase).
• You are familiar with Git, Jenkins, and Agile/DevOps methodologies.
• You have experience using, building, and maintaining a standalone component library (a plus).
• You are able to write effective documentation, unit tests, integration tests, and API tests.
• You have a solid understanding of Agile methodology.
• You are capable of working autonomously on development tasks and troubleshooting.
• You have a proactive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• You are a strong problem-solver who can work both independently and collaboratively.
• You are proficient in English.
