We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend PHP Developer to join our dynamic team as we continue to expand and enhance our platform. As a Senior Backend PHP Developer, you will be responsible for developing robust and scalable backend solutions using Laravel, working closely with the frontend development team, and collaborating with other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain backend systems and APIs using Laravel framework.
- Collaborate with the frontend development team to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
- Design and implement efficient and secure database models using PostgreSQL.
- Optimize application performance, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code adhering to coding standards and best practices.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and fix issues.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and mentor junior developers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and contribute to system architecture design.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, sharing knowledge and proposing innovative solutions.
- Work in a remote setup, providing regular updates, and effectively managing time and tasks.
Requirements:
- Strong expertise in API design and development, with a deep understanding of RESTful principles.
- Extensive experience with Laravel framework, including Laravel 8+.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming (OOP) and design patterns.
- Solid understanding of database design and optimization, with hands-on experience in PostgreSQL.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Laravel development.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work remotely, maintaining effective communication and collaboration within the team.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
- Familiarity with frontend technologies, particularly Angular, is a plus.
- Experience with cloud services and hosting, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP), is an advantage.
