About the Role

We’re a fast-growing company supporting global digital banking operations. As our Senior Solution Architect, you will own the end-to-end architecture of core financial platforms—digital banking, payments, card systems, wallets, APIs, and emerging tech like AI/ML and blockchain. Your mission is to design secure, scalable, compliant, and future-ready systems while guiding engineering teams and shaping our technology roadmap.

What You’ll Do

• Define and evolve architecture for digital banking, card/payment processing, wallets, and API-first platforms.
• Translate business goals, regulatory requirements, and fintech trends into practical architectural blueprints.
• Drive adoption of modern fintech capabilities:
• AI/ML for fraud, risk, and personalization
• Open banking, embedded finance, API economy
• Real-time and cross-border payments
• Blockchain/DLT and tokenisation
• Zero-trust, privacy-by-design, regulatory compliance
• Define technology stack and patterns: cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), microservices, event-driven systems, containers, CI/CD.
• Lead design reviews and ensure alignment with security, performance, resilience, and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, DevOps, QA, Compliance, and Security to bring architectures into delivery.
• Maintain architectural documentation, standards, and decision records.
• Track emerging technologies and propose innovation opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

Experience & Background

• 7+ years in software engineering or system architecture, ideally in fintech or financial services.
• Hands-on experience with digital banking systems, payment platforms, wallets, or card processing.
• Strong understanding of open banking, embedded finance, real-time payments, blockchain, and AI/ML in finance.
• Proven ability to design secure, scalable architectures (microservices, APIs, event-driven, cloud-native).
• Solid knowledge of PCI-DSS, PSD2, GDPR, AML/KYC, and financial-grade security practices.
• Strong communication and leadership skills - able to align stakeholders and guide engineering teams.

Technical Skills

• System integration, data modeling, API design, messaging/eventing, high availability architectures.
• Cloud architecture (public/hybrid), Kubernetes/Docker, CI/CD and DevOps foundations.
• Experience with blockchain or AI/ML.

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• Equivalent practical experience in complex system architecture, cloud-native engineering, or fintech platform design is also accepted.
