Our client is a New York City based MSP (Managed Services provider) servicing SMB clients in the NYC area. They take a novel approach to IT and strive to be proactive in their technical helpdesk support, computer support and consulting. To further strengthen their operations, we are searching for a devoted and proactive candidate for a position of: Service Desk Engineer II (Ref. No. 8472)
Key responsibilities:
- Provide telephone, remote and email support
- Serve as technical escalation point of contact for Service Desk Engineers.
- Host VoIP setup/config/troubleshooting.
- Remote Hardware troubleshooting.
- VMware/Hyper-V troubleshooting.
- Veeam backup and restore troubleshooting.
- Basic Switch configuration and troubleshooting.
- Exchange PowerShell troubleshooting.
- Advanced Meraki Firewall configuration and troubleshooting.
- Advanced Windows server configuration and troubleshooting.
- Advanced RDWeb Gateway/Parallels RAS troubleshooting.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, Office 2013 to 365.
- Advanced Microsoft 365 platform configuration and troubleshooting.
- Advanced Mac and PC configuration and troubleshooting.
Key requirements:
- 4+ years of related experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (Fluency in English language).
Certification – Any one of the following:
CompTIA Network+; MTA - Technology Associate; MCSA Office 365; MCSA Windows Server 2012 or later; MCSA SQL Server 2012 or later; MCSE Server Infrastructure; Meraki MR and MX certification; Veeam – VMCE; Cisco – CCNA; VMware – VCP 6.0 or later; Apple – ACSP; ISACA – CISA; AXELOS – ITIL; HDI – CSR; HDI – ITIL; HDI – KCS
