The SharePoint Administrator will be responsible for maintaining SharePoint sites in the corporate Intranet: layout, visual appearance, usability and content accuracy. Provide architecture, design, support, administration, configuration, and development of SharePoint Sites. This includes intranet and internet portals, and team sites. The administrator will work with business owners to design and develop web pages that meet business needs while maintaining compatibility with corporate standards. The administrator will work with business owners to review dated content to insurer accuracy. Enforce strict adherence to SharePoint Governance.
Principal Responsibilities:
Web Design
- Develop SharePoint templates.
- Develops basic and advanced SharePoint artifacts, including (but not limited to) web parts, custom fields, custom lists, views, and content types, sites and sub-sites, lists, and libraries.
- Works closely with and provides technical support to internal business owners regarding design.
- Facilitates training with business users as needed.
- Supports online communications planning and execution.
- Works with the O365 Administrator to resolve any technical challenges.
Content Management
- Manages all Web Content and components for Intranet site.
- Creation of new sites, document libraries, lists, web pages, and web parts.
- Create, leverage and manage content types, site columns and templates for re-use in the sites
- Assist departments in document management, the use of SharePoint and setting up permissions to sites.
- Ensure that all documents, files, and content stored in SharePoint are accurate and up-to-date.
- Edits and proofreads new content regularly.
- Implement version control to track changes and updates to collateral.
- Troubleshooting/Problem-solving content issues and web capabilities.
Governance
- Implement workflows or notifications for content owners to review and update their documents.
- Works closely with the O365 / AD Administrator to utilize security groups as part of the security model in SharePoint permissions.
- Administer SharePoint security/permissions.
- Conduct regular audits of SharePoint content to identify and rectify inaccuracies.
- Set up monitoring tools to track changes and activities within SharePoint.
- Generate reports on content accuracy and usage statistics.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ SharePoint Administrator experience managing corporate web content and design.
- Strong working knowledge in Office365 and SharePoint Online, including its related online products (e.g. Teams/Skype, Azure AD, Security and Compliance
- Well-versed in SharePoint web tools and technologies, including Microsoft Flow, Power BI and Power Apps.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of SharePoint Permissions
- Knowledge of Active Directory
- Strong troubleshooting skills on resolving SharePoint related issues
- Reviews and monitoring usage reports
- PowerShell scripting knowledge
- MS Teams 365 Group admin lifecycle knowledge experience
