Software Development Manager

Eqytech operates in Belgrade, as a branch of Green Wave Electronics a leading electronics recycler based in the USA, dedicated to providing sustainable recycling solutions since 2007. Our mission is to promote environmental responsibility through effective recycling practices while serving a diverse range of clients nationwide. 

Green Wave is an industry leader in the IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) service industry, with locations in the US from coast to coast. We provide our customers with cradle to grave solutions for their IT equipment. 

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Development Manager to lead a dynamic team of engineers in Belgrade, responsible for developing and maintaining critical software applications.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, exceptional leadership abilities, and a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
This role requires a seasoned manager who can effectively balance technical expertise with team management, strategic planning, and stakeholder communication at a senior level.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday  12-8pm

Responsibilities:

• Lead Projects and mentor a team of software developers, ensuring quality deliverables and adherence to timelines.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices and provide technical guidance to the team
• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment to encourage team growth and performance with the US and Serbian based teams
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
• Lead the design and development of robust, scalable, and maintainable cloud-native applications on AWS
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define technical solutions, and align business objectives with technical deliverables.
• Ensure the application of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
• Design and implement robust, scalable, and efficient applications using Java and AWS services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application performance, scalability, and security issues.
• Stay current with emerging AWS services to drive innovation.
• Plan, prioritize, and allocate development tasks to meet project deadlines.
• Manage budget according to plan by preparing yearly forecast, facilitating capitol request preparation and assessing future resource needs

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Developer with strong expertise in JavaScript and AWS technologies
• Min 3 years as a Manager in AWS / JavaScript centric environment
• Proven track of leading development teams and delivering successful projects
• Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering or related field
• Experience with leading multi-cultural teams 
• Experience of working for EU or USA based employers
