We’re looking for a Data Engineer to join our team and work in the heart of our business improving our data platform and helping to identify the best providers. This individual will report to Garner’s VP of Data Engineering.
Garner is headquartered in NYC, but this position is also available for individuals who prefer remote work.
Responsibilities will include:
- Build and maintain tooling to support data science researchers
- Develop a deep understanding of healthcare data
- Partnering with data science to take ideas from research into reliable, performant production systems
Ideal candidate has:
- 2-4 years of experience building data-intensive software in Python
- Experience working with an orchestration tool like Argo, Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster
- A strong aesthetic for clean, maintainable code
- Excellent communication skills and ability to clearly communicate design rationale and concepts
- Excellent understanding of SQL and data modeling.
- The ability to work with data scientists to support their research and partner with them to get ideas into production

The target salary range for this position is: $125,000 - $155,000. Individual compensation for this role will depend on a variety of factors including qualifications, skills and applicable laws. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans.
