Software Engineer (Golang/Python, 100% remote)

We're looking for a Golang Engineer to join a small, senior team focused on building high-scale ingestion, storage, and query systems. You'll help lay the groundwork for core data infrastructure. You’ll work closely with the founding team to build and improve systems that move, store, and process data reliably and efficiently. This is a great role if you enjoy working on technical challenges in fast-moving environments where you can shape the future of the product.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of experience in backend engineering roles
• Strong hands-on experience with Go
• Comfortable building systems that process large volumes of data
• Familiar with tools that manage background tasks like Temporal, Celery, or similar
• Deep understanding of relational databases, query performance, and data modeling
• Comfortable working on distributed systems that need to scale
• Writes clean, tested, and well-documented code

Nice to have

• Experience writing production code in Python
• Experience with Kubernetes and running services across different cloud providers
• Knowledge of both traditional and modern (distributed) databases
• Worked with real-time data systems or event-driven architectures
• Previous experience at a startup or in a fast-moving early-stage team

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain core parts of our real-time data pipeline
• Work closely with the founding team to ship high-impact features
• Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of key systems
• Own your services end-to-end, including being part of the on-call rotation
• Write code that’s easy to understand, test, and evolve
• Contribute to building a strong engineering culture from the ground up
