About the opportunity:
As our first Sr. Technical Recruiter, you will partner with our Engineering, Product, and other teams to bring extraordinary technical talent to KarmaCheck. You will be a unifier, a culture champion, and a trusted partner to your hiring teams and candidates. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in attracting, identifying, and hiring top-tier technical talent for our organization. We are a ‘culture-first’ organization, so leading and operating with strategy, empathy, and a strong entrepreneurial spirit are vital for the success of this role.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit top technical and non technical talent through establishing relationships, sourcing on multiple channels, reviewing incoming applicants, and maintaining an exceptional candidate experience
- Have a deep understanding of software engineering skills for all types of roles, including backend, frontend, IOS, Machine Learning etc.
- Screen and evaluate candidates, conducting in-depth technical and cultural interviews to ensure their skills and experience align with company’s hiring requirements.
- Create and execute recruitment strategies to ensure a healthy pipeline and maintain a consistent level of candidate at the top of the funnel.
- Manage the applicant tracking system (ATS), Lever by regularly reviewing inbound and outbound candidates and taking appropriate action in a timely manner.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continually enhance recruitment strategies and processes
- Lead all aspects of the full-cycle recruiting process for candidates, including driving interview and offer processes, reference checks, salary recommendations, candidate closing and overall process improvement.
- Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives to ensure equal opportunities to all candidates
Qualifications:
- At least 7+ years technical recruiting experience, specifically in software engineering
- At least 3+ years in a high growth, tech start up environment
- At least 3+ years of Lever experience and establishing recruiting metrics
- Experience with understanding, explaining, and assessing for experience in
- Languages/Runtimes: NodeJS (Javascript/Typescript), Java
- Backend frameworks: NestJS, Spring Boot
- Frontend frameworks: Vue, React, Angular, etc
- Cloud Infrastructure: AWS (API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, Cloudwatch, RDS, etc)
- Databases: SQL/NoSQL
- Expert understanding of best-in-class recruitment processes, sourcing, tools, and methodologies
- Strong understanding of equity for venture-backed companies, with the ability to articulate the value to candidates
- Strong work ethic and sense of personal accountability.
- Ability to solve practical problems and be sufficiently adaptable to handle dynamic situations with little advance notice.
- Experience working on cross-functional teams with ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal communications, including synchronous interactions with others.

- The expected base compensation for this role is between $120,000 - $180,000 for work performed in the United States. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include experience level, transferable skills, education, location, business needs, training, and market demands. This range may be modified in the future.
