We are seeking a Support Engineer who will support Way4 digital payments products around the world.
Responsibilities:
- On-call duties on the support line; initial assessment and analysis of client requests, solving client issues.
 
- Supporting clients’ daily operations of WAY4 modules when issues/bugs arise
 
- Consulting clients (IT department managers, engineers, DBAs, etc. from clients’ side) on technical and subject matter issues related to the use and configuration of Way4 products.
 
- Troubleshoot and if possible, reproduce existing clients reported issues/bugs.
 
- Analyze core and custom code of WAY4 modules to identify an issue/bug.
 
- Report valid issues/bugs/enhancements correctly to Research & Development team.
 
- Correctly deliver the solution in the form of workarounds, hotfixes, or configuration changes to the client(s).
 
- Install Way4 software and train clients on-site as required.
 
- Participation in client training and consulting (upon reaching an expert level).
 
- Meet clients' Service Level Agreement (SLA).
 
Requirements:
Education:
- Higher technical education (IT, mathematics, physics).
 
- Additional higher education in finance or economics is a plus.
 
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of the theory and practice of DBMS.
 
- Basic level of PL/SQL (skills in reading and writing code) and SQL.
 
- Knowledge in IT system support/testing principles.
 
- Upper-Intermediate level of English for business communication.
 
- Basic knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP.
 
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including to communicate technical ideas clearly effectively and convincingly.
 
- Ability to work in teams and with people of varying abilities and backgrounds.
 
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving.
 
Will be considered an advantage:
- Experience in implementing and maintaining high-load distributed systems.
 
- Experience in the "fintech" sector (working in banks with CBS, processing centers) or in telecommunications.
 
- Administrative skills on a Unix platform.
 
- Written and spoken Russian and/or Spanish.
