System Administrator VMware/Network

We are a software company focused on serving the payment processing industry, working mainly with financial institutions across the globe.

Our IT Infrastructure Team is seeking an energetic individual to work full-time in an office, combining roles of VMware/Network system administrator, while providing on-site IT support. 

This is a professional position for someone with 3+ years of experience. This individual will extend the existing IT Infrastructure administration team. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to diversify his/her experience and gain practical skills in related fields. In our work, we apply the ITIL methodology and ITSM system. We have a comfortable atmosphere, positive and friendly colleagues.

Responsibilities:

• Administer global & local VMware Virtual Infrastructure (7.x/8.x).
• Administer global & local Veeam Infrastructure (v12.x).
• Administer global & local Network Infrastructure (NSX, Cisco, Ubiquiti).
• Provide IT Support to the on-site employees. 
• Collaborate with internal and external teams.
• Optimize and secure VMware infrastructure.
• Manage system updates, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring.
• Handle data protection via system backups and recovery (Veeam Backup).
• Support lifecycle of hypervisors and vSphere hosts; provision VMs.
• Support VPN based remote access (Cisco AnyConnect, Site-2-Site VPNs).
• Ensure system availability; support local office infrastructure.
• Work closely with DevOps, DBAs, information security, project managers.
• Define and perform system backups and recovery procedures (Veeam).
• Document technical solutions and architectures. 

Requirements:

• Deep understanding of VMware vSphere 7.x/8.x (install, configure, upgrade & secure).
• Knowledge and experience with VMware vSAN.
• Understanding of TCP/IP stack, networking (firewalls, routing, switching, IPSec, VPN).
• Strong knowledge and experience with VMware NSX (NSX-V and NSX-T).
• Solid work experience with Veeam Backup & Replication.
• Detailed knowledge of NetApp, DataDomain enterprise-level storage arrays.
• Expert knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Expert knowledge of the TCP stack and network services at all levels (DHCP, DNS, VPN etc).
• Good spoken both English & Serbian communication skills.

Desirable:

• 3+ years experience in VMware vSphere support.
• 3+ years of experience Veeam Backup & Replication support.
• Knowledge of the TCP stack and network services at all levels (DHCP, DNS, VPN etc).
• Knowledge of Cisco Catalyst, Cisco Nexus (DataCenters), Cisco ASA/Cisco FirePower.
• Understanding of ITIL practices and hands-on experience with ITSM systems.
• Experience with storage solutions (NetApp, HP DataDomain).
• Profile's certifications such as VMware VCP, Cisco CCNA.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure.
• Experience with PRTG Monitoring.
