Pollard Digital Solutions, a Pollard Banknote Company, is looking for passionate, self-motivated, and experienced System Administrator candidates to join our agile teams in delivering reliable systems according to our customer’s needs.
Responsibilities
- Install and configure software and OS.
- Manage network servers and technology tools
- Set up accounts and workstations
- Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
- Troubleshoot issues and outages
- Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
- Upgrade systems with new releases and models
- Document internal documentation with technical documentation, procedures, and how-to articles.
Requirement and skills
- Degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience in a System Administrator or similar role
- Experience with Windows and Linux servers, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
- Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery
- Ability to create scripts in Bash and Powershall. Python and other languages is a plus.
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
- Certified Systems Administrator and other certifications is a plus
- Knowledge of versioning systems (git, svn).
- Knowledge of any issue tracking system (JIRA, ServiceNow).
- Working in an agile environment would be a plus.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Organized and disciplined work ethic.
- Solid English skills, both written and spoken.
- Eagerness to learn as well as share knowledge and ideas with co-workers.
