Technical Artist

We’re now looking for a Technical Artist with Unity experience to join our creative team and help bring our ideas to life. In this key role, you’ll bridge the gap between art and technology, ensuring that visuals are seamlessly integrated and optimized for peak performance. You’ll collaborate closely with artists, designers, and programmers to deliver top-tier visuals and streamline our development pipeline.

Your tasks:

• Collaborate with artists and developers to create and integrate optimized art assets in Unity.
• Design and maintain shaders, materials, and visual effects to elevate project visuals.
• Implement and optimize assets, focusing on performance and mobile-specific constraints.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to art assets and Unity engine integration.
• Guide the art team on technical best practices and workflow optimizations.
• Stay updated with the latest game development trends and tools to maintain a competitive edge.

Your background:

• Proven experience as a Technical Artist with Unity
• Background in mobile game development or real-time applications.
• Strong understanding of 3D modeling, texturing, shading, and real-time rendering techniques.
• Proficiency with tools like Photoshop, Blender, Substance Painter/Designer
• Solid knowledge of performance optimization techniques (e.g., LODs, texture atlasing, batching).
• Effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in English, good communication skills and experience collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git, Perforce).

Nice to have:

• Experience with scripting languages like Python or MEL for automation and tool development.
• A portfolio showcasing your technical artistry and relevant projects.
