Role overview:
We are looking for a Technical Lead to guide one of our engineering teams toward technical excellence. This is a pivotal role in a cross-functional team responsible for ensuring the team’s deliverables are technically robust, providing insights on the technical aspects of backlog items, maintaining hands-on involvement in development, and facilitating the technical growth of the team members.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead a cross-functional, delivery-focused team where software engineers, test engineers, an Engineering manager, and Product managers work together using Agile principles in a highly autonomous and collaborative environment.
- Outline technical strategies for team backlogs, aligned with our architecture and product vision, and collaborate on long-term roadmaps.
- Define technical aspects of team projects, collaborating with architects and managers.
- Act as the go-to expert for technical queries and decision-making in a cross-functional team.
- Write exemplary code, review peers' contributions, and maintain high code quality.
- Lead code reviews, pair program with other engineers in the team, actively engage in debugging and optimizing our applications.
- Act as a mentor to less experienced engineers, promoting a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence. Stay abreast of technology trends and drive the professional growth of your team.
- Streamline development workflows in partnership with Application Architects and Engineering Managers.
You are a Technical Lead with:
- A degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 2-year experience in a technical leadership position as part of a cross-functional team in a highly collaborative environment.
- A hands-on approach to software development, with a commitment to coding as part of your leadership role.
- Proficiency in Java and comfortable with the latest Object-Oriented practices.
- Expertise in microservices architecture and REST APIs design and implementation.
- Experience with Agile, Lean, Continuous delivery approaches and best practices like TDD and CI/CD.
- Solid English skills, both written and spoken.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Organized and disciplined work ethic.
We hope you have:
- Knowledge of cloud technologies like AWS, Docker, or Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of workflow and process orchestration technologies like Camunda.
- Awareness of critical concepts in DevOps.
- Experience with observability stacks like Grafana, Datadog, or similar.
- Experience with Security management tools.
