Test Automation Engineer for Communication Protocols

Test Automation Engineers at Typhoon HIL are technical experts focused on testing Typhoon HIL products. In this position you will work on creating testing scenarios and writing tests for the software products which are used in real time simulation environment with focus on communication protocols. Besides that, you will work directly with Typhoon HIL customers (Fortune 500 companies) to help them to create hardware in the loop simulation setup for their products. 

In Typhoon you will be part of a multidisciplinary team, where you will work closely with power electronics engineers, hardware, software, firmware engineers, and business developers. If you are a highly motivated and self-driven engineer, willing to tackle tough technical challenges you will be able to grow with the company.

Responsibilities

• Developing test and test automation scripts for communication protocols supported by the Typhoon tools.
• Creating test case specifications for communication protocols testing.
• Performing system level tests and result analysis. Debug and locate the potential problems and assign developers for the problem fixing. 
• Providing feedback about usability and functionality to the development teams and help them to make our tools better.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience and/or passion for communication protocols and testing.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Must enjoy working in a team.
• Knowledge of Python.
• Experience with C/C++/C# is a plus.
• Knowledge of Git code version control system.
• Knowledge of English language is required (B1).
