ThingsBoard Developer

We are looking for a developer with experience in ThingsBoard to work on a new implementation to replace an existing legacy platform for communicating and managing IOT devices. The ideal candidate has experience developing backend components in either Java and/or Node JS and has experience developing front-end widgets in Angular. Candidates who have either front end or back end experience are both welcome, but the ideal candidate would have both. Understanding of API and RESTful services development in either Java and/or Node JS would be idea and candidates with really good Angular experience in building out widgets in ThingsBoard are also welcome. The ideal candidate has experience working with cloud environments like GCP, but it is not required. This is a full-time, work from home position, working for a US Based client of Cyrillic Software. We are looking for self-motivated and hardworking individuals who want to grow their career utilizing modern technologies and best practices.

The Thingsboard Developer Position will have the following responsibilities:

• Work with an existing Agile team in all aspects of the SDLC
• Create, document, and understand software/system requirements utilizing Agile best practices
• Work with peers, testers, and operations to test and validate working software
• Design and implement secure and scalable software solutions
• Participate in requirements discovery and analysis

The ideal candidate should have most of the following skills:

• Ability to build and maintain RESTful APIs in either Java and/or Node JS in ThingsBoard
• Core development capabilities, around package management, logging, typecasting, etc.
• Ability to deal with different input/data formats like XML, JSON, and CSV
• RDBMS/SQL Experience, Data Modeling, MySQL
• Understanding and experience with Data Processing, Batch Processing, and Messaging technologies
• Excellent Verbal and written English Communication Skills

The following experience is also desired, but not required:

• Experience with developing and testing on Cloud Platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure environments
• Understanding of BDD and TDD Concepts
• Understanding of CI/CD and Automation best practices
• Experience and understanding of Selenium testing
• Web Development experience and understanding including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience with front-end frameworks specifically Angular
