Hello! Are you ready to Work from Home and transform your career?
We're looking for User Experience Designers to join the CX team at Modus. Want to help our client build awesome solutions to accomplish their goals and vision? Are you interested in working from home with some of the best talent on the planet? Then keep reading.
Join our UX Team as we re-imagine and reinvent how large Telecoms can better interact with and support their customers in a way that is more modern, digital-first, intuitive, and friendly. Design user experiences used by millions of people everyday, take on complex tasks and transform them into intuitive, accessible and easy-to-use designs. Collaborate with teams of Designers, Researchers, Engineers and Product Managers throughout the design process — from creating user flows and wireframes to building user interface mockups and prototypes. At each stage, you will anticipate what our users need, advocate for them and ensure that the final product surprises and delights them. Bring your experience in Design Thinking and your pragmatic user-centered and data-informed design approach to create innovative, usable, great-looking products that people love to use.
About You
You are passionate about exceptionally designed, functional software. As a User Experience Designer, you are a generalist design leader comfortable collaborating with user experience designers, product managers, developers, and stakeholders. You understand the importance of business objectives and are keen to understand your users through research so that you can craft an experience that will successfully solve problems and impact the business.
You have direct experience across a range of design approaches and methodologies, from personal development to prototyping and the many steps in between. You have interaction/graphic design experience across a variety of digital media, and experience with design strategy. You have a Bachelor’s degree in UX, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, HCI, Design or a related field. Your portfolio highlights multiple projects that demonstrate experiences crafting usable digital interfaces. You have a proven track record of delivering excellent experiences that meet user needs, product requirements, and strategic business objectives. Your experience includes work on different projects in mobile, web and maybe even AR/VR. You have performed user research to get both a quantitative and qualitative understanding of users. You can think big picture and create user flows, can craft personas representing the different types of users, but really go deep on optimizing behavior in a single screen. You have strong working knowledge of Adobe XD and other design tools. You are thoughtful in your approach and can walk us through designs and explain where you changed your own mind or someone else’s in the process. You are open to collaboration and love finding the great idea that hides behind the good ones. You can easily zoom out and in as necessary.
You understand principles of user interface design to know when to use radio buttons instead of checkboxes. You understand how to critique your colleagues’ work and also how to apply their critique to improve your own work. You want to be part of a vibrant CX team who aims to bring state of the art experience design to our client organizations.
You are comfortable running workshops with stakeholders - in real life and ideally online as well. You would be comfortable sitting down with stakeholders and guiding them through a process to make a detailed prototype that engineers could run with. You can design user research and are adept and finding patterns and expressing that into clear deliverables and ideally into a working application. You have excellent problem-solving skills and familiarity with technical constraints and limitations as they apply to designing for platforms such as desktop and mobile (e.g., Android and iOS).
Your toolkit likely includes tools like Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, InVision, Framer, and maybe even coding websites. You may even be comfortable designing presentations, motion graphics, or building design systems, or perhaps you want to be. Let us know!
You have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly articulate a problem space, sometimes in various ways to meet the needs of different people. You have exceptional attention to detail and ability to balance multiple work streams. You understand common software project management practices and Agile development. And finally, you have a passion for collaboration, iteration and receiving feedback.
Knowledge or expertise in one or more of the following is a plus: visual design, machine learning, mobile applications, web applications, messaging interfaces, illustration, motion graphics, video/film production.
Things You Might Do
You will get to use your UX expertise to design (and redesign) a diverse set of experiences and products from websites and mobile apps to chatbots and support tools. You will use Design Thinking, storytelling, UX, and prototypes to compellingly convey the vision, flow, and features of the product you are designing. You will create concepts, site maps, flows, navigation strategies and prototypes. You will also get to lead the development of mental models, user flows, and customer-journey maps based on data. You will collaborate with fellow UX designers, researchers, and team members to generate ideas and get feedback on your designs. Mapping customer journeys, visualizing concepts through story boards, prioritizing scalable information architecture, laying out detailed workflows around tech constraints, building intuitive interactions, and prototyping will also be some of your tasks. You will also be crafting pixel-perfect mockups by using your creativity, delivering detailed design specs and assets to engineering teams, verifying implementation quality, and tracking success metrics. You will advocate for user-focused design, representing the voice of our customers throughout the design process. You will successfully work with developers, project managers, and other internal teams to get your designs into production. You will work on several projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
